Job summary

World Fuel Services is seeking a Payroll Specialist to administer payroll across UK, EMEA and APAC regions, including end-of-year tax filings and expatriate payroll activities. You will support finance teams with reconciliations and GL postings in Oracle, while ensuring timely responses to employee pay queries and strong SOX compliance.

Qualifications include a degree or equivalent and 1–2 years of payroll experience; knowledge of Cloudpay, ADP Streamline and Workday is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer Year End tax filings and distribute employee forms.
• Support Finance/Accounting teams with reconciliations and GL entries in Oracle.
• Administer expatriate payroll activities and coordinate with tax vendors as needed.
• Maintain payroll inbox and respond to pay-related queries within 24 hours.
• Liaise with Accounting, Internal Audit, FP&A, and HR.
• Maintain SOX controls and coordinate testing with auditors.

• Process payrolls across UK, EMEA and APAC region (27 countries)

• Administer the Year End tax filings and disbursement of employee forms for all applicable countries

• Support all relevant Finance/Accounting teams with reconciliations or general Payroll queries by maintaining an accurate General Ledger journal entries (salaries, pension, taxes, and social security) into Oracle financials at a company and employee level.

• Administer UK relief-at-source and salary sacrifice pension schemes and managing timely upload of employee and employer contributions into personal schemes for all legal entities, in line with auto-enrolment legislation.

• File and label all confidential correspondence in ‘Box’ accordance with Data Security legal requirements and company policies whilst maintaining WFS Documentation retention policies in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

• Administer expatriate related payroll activities and coordinate with external tax vendors as needed.

• Maintain the EMEA/APAC shared Payroll Inbox, working to a maximum 24 hour response time; supporting employees with any pay-related queries.

• Maintain strong relationships with corporate staff: Accounting, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, and People/HR.

• Maintain SOX controls and coordinate annual testing and reporting with Internal / External Auditors.

Qualifications

• Degree level or possess an equivalent level qualification
• 1-2 years experience in Payroll is preferable
• Knowledge on Cloudpay, ADP Streamline and WORKDAY systems highly desirable
• International experience is preferable
