Job summary

Freeport LNG is seeking a Marine Analyst to lead LNG vessel loading plans and coordinate marine operations across departments at the Quintana LQF Terminal. This role interfaces with Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, and external stakeholders to align production capabilities, dock availability, and customer scheduling.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 1+ years in logistics, transportation, marine, operations, LNG, or shipping environments.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, maritime studies, or related field.
• Preferred Experience: 5+ years in logistics, marine, operations, LNG, or shipping environments.
• Knowledge of LNG transportation fundamentals; familiarity with AIS/SAP/Power BI.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position reports to the Marine Director. The Marine Analyst is responsible for leading and coordinating LNG vessel loading plans and supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of marine operations among other marine team duties. This role serves as a key interface between Marine Operations, Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of production capabilities, maintenance activities, dock availability, and customer scheduling requirements.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining strong communication across departments.

LNG Marine industry experience is preferred. General bulk liquid marine terminal vessel ship/shore cargo transfer operations knowledge, excellent computer literacy skills, in particular, with Excel and Outlook and the various functions of Microsoft Office, are required.

Location/Travel Information

This position is based at the Quintana LQF Terminal with travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of LNG vessel loading plans and forward marine schedules.
• Coordinate closely with Operations to align loading schedules with production capabilities, inventory management, and operational constraints.
• Coordinate with Maintenance regarding planned maintenance activities, dock work, equipment availability, and operational impacts to the loading schedule.
• Work collaboratively with Commercial to support cargo scheduling, customer requirements, lifting windows, and schedule optimization.
• Identify and drive optimization opportunities related to berth utilization, scheduling efficiency, turnaround times, dock availability, and marine operations performance.
• Monitor upcoming vessel schedules, maintenance windows, weather impacts, and operational risks to proactively identify conflicts or constraints.
• Support development of contingency plans and schedule adjustments during changing operational conditions.
• Maintain and update marine scheduling tools, trackers, reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze operational data and trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and communicate operational updates, scheduling changes, and planning recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional planning meetings and operational coordination calls.
• Support special projects, operational reviews, and process improvement initiatives related to marine operations.
• Ensure activities are conducted in alignment with company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualification/Work Experience

Preferred Experience: 5+ years’ experience in logistics, transportation, marine, operations, energy, LNG, or shipping environments. Understanding of vessel scheduling, marine transportation, and supply chain principles.

Knowledge of LNG transportation fundamentals

Familiarity with AIS vessel tracking systems, SAP, Power BI, or similar analytics tools

• Experience in marine operations, LNG operations, terminal operations, logistics, scheduling, or related operational environments
• Strong understanding of operational planning and scheduling principles.

HSE Roles and Responsibilities

Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.

Working Conditions and Physical Expectations

Work Environment

• Freeport LNG is a 24/7 operating facility. Must be open to working on an on-call weekend rotation to provide coverage for marine operations
• Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment when required
• Operates in an industrial plant environment office setting
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
