Job summary

Golden Pass LNG is seeking a Senior Operations Business Analyst to support Operations Applications including Aveva PI, Hexagon J5, and Enablon. You will work within a cross-functional team to advise business users, solve complex requirements, and contribute to system architecture evolution.

You must have 8+ years in business/technical analysis, knowledge of LNG operations, and strong communication skills to liaison between operations and IT. This is a full-time onsite role based in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a business or technical analyst or supporting Operations Applications.
• Experience with operations IT teams and IT strategies; LNG or energy industry experience a plus.

Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has the mission to become the premier LNG export company in North America by bringing clean energy from Texas to power the world. Headquartered in Downtown Houston, Golden Pass LNG commenced operation of Train 1 in 2026 and continues to progress construction and commissioning on Trains 2 and 3. Once fully operational, Golden Pass LNG will have the capacity to produce over 18 million metric tons of LNG per year.

Job Summary / Purpose

The Senior Operations Business Analyst will have responsibility for the Operations Applications for Golden Pass LNG. This role is for a Sr. Operations Business Analyst to work within a cross-functional team – primarily support for Operations Applications such as Aveva PI, Hexagon J5, and Enablon. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate, advise all levels of business users and solve complex business problems/ requirements within our system implementation.

Essential Duties / Functions

• Candidate must have good knowledge of Operations and Operations Applications
• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
• Design and providing feasible solution options to tackle business issues and support business growth in the system
• Effective stakeholder relationship management between Operations and IT
• Technical brainstorming on best approaches to tackle changes in the system
• L2/3 support for existing production software
• Consult with business analysts & subject matter experts to determine requirements and functional specifications
• Contribute ideas to the evolution of the system architecture
• Candidate must have a good understanding of agile delivery methodology and experience working in a global team. Candidate must be able to effectively manage tasks assigned, timelines and progress reporting on the tasks.

Minimum education required of the position.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience

Minimum experience required of the position

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a business or technical analyst or supporting Operations Applications and Plant Operations. LNG experience is a plus
• Experience supporting and working with operations IT team providing technical or business expertise and assisting in technical designs for operations systems or experience utilizing multiple operations applications in a power user role.
• Experience working with teams to drive and influence IT strategies by taking initiative, engaging business stakeholders and management, expressing ideas and challenging the status quo across management, business and functions

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.

• Experience in Natural Gas and LNG with strong business acumen and knowledge of Operations, Permit to Work, Data Historians, Operator Rounds, Management of Change, and Health & Safety applications.
• Ability to quickly understand a complex Gas and LNG value chain system architecture and matrix of across the organizations and businesses; and their interrelationships/dependencies.
• Ability to understand Operations activities and how to best enable mobile solutions to Operations Applications.
