Job summary

Fifth Third Bank’s Leveraged Finance Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Analyst to support underwriting and execution of senior debt transactions.

You will perform due diligence, build projections, and prepare memos, collaborating with sponsors, DCM, and risk teams to assess credit risk and structure.

Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in leveraged finance or related fields are required; strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years Leveraged Finance, Private Equity, Investment Banking or related financial services experience.
• Strong communication and written/oral skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance or Accounting).
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed due diligence on companies, industries, management and other information.
• Build detailed financial projection models to analyze capital structures and credit metrics.
• Prepare succinct underwriting memorandums with risks, rationale and terms.
• Collaborate with internal partners (Financial Sponsors Group, DCM, Risk, industry verticals) on multiple transactions.
• Provide oversight and guidance to junior analysts.
