Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services in Sacramento seeks an Analyst IV to serve as policy advisor, providing high level expertise on complex, sensitive program issues under the Assistant Secretary, Office of Public & Employee Communications.

Job Description And Duties

Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit R01 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by three percent and will receive five PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027 . Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Secretary, Office of Public & Employee Communications (OPEC), the Analyst IV acts as the policy advisor and provides high level expertise and assistance with complex, sensitive and confidential program issues. The Analyst IV may act independently on behalf of the Assistant Secretary in a variety of situations regarding sensitive issues such as, but not limited to high-level meetings, litigation, policies, and etc., to meet CDCR’s primary mission.
