GENERAL PURPOSE

The Applications Analyst role focuses on developing and supporting data ingestion workflows using StreamSets and related technologies. It involves assisting in building and maintaining data pipelines, writing Python scripts for basic data processing tasks, and supporting integration with various data sources. This role requires foundational knowledge of cloud platforms, operating systems, and data integration concepts. It also includes monitoring production systems, resolving issues under guidance, and adhering to established development and deployment processes. Additionally, the Application Analyst collaborates with senior team members to learn best practices and contribute to ongoing system improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 3-5 years of experience working with StreamSets or similar technologies with exposure to building and supporting basic data ingestion workflows and applying common data integration patterns.
• Basic hands-on experience with StreamSets or similar data ingestion tools is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data processing tasks.
• Understanding data formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV, and basic ETL concepts.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data integration concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems and basic networking principles.
• Awareness of security concepts such as authentication, SSL, and data protection practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, monitor systems, and elevate problems appropriately.
• Strong willingness to learn, collaborate with teams, and follow best practices in development and operations.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

The base pay range for this role $81,000.00 to $136,150.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
