SABG is hiring an Intermediate Strategic Planning Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL. The analyst will provide direct support to the Director of Staff (DS) Office with day-to-day activities and will work in an in-office role with some telework as determined by supervision.

The position requires a BA with seven years of relevant experience (or an AA/AS with nine years) and strong analytical, writing and communication skills to manage correspondence, briefing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; AA/AS with 9 years may substitute.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct planning, analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, excellent communication, team-oriented, able to manage customer and contractor relationships.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in data visualization applications (Power BI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Orbit HR system for DS Office, including data updates and contractor positions.
  • Manage the MDA Huntsville Workforce Notification email messaging process.
  • Review incoming correspondence and staff packages with analytical and editorial support, ensuring compliance with guidance.
  • Use ETMS2 cloud-based application to manage incoming correspondence and DS staff packages.
  • Manage the DS Risk Management and Internal Control Program.
  • Plan, develop briefing charts and execute recurring DS meetings.
  • Support DS Executive Support team in solving routine problems.
  • Support programmatic processes to meet stakeholder requirements.

Description

SABG is hiring an Intermediate Strategic Planning Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL. Intermediate Analyst will provide direct support to the Director of Staff (DS) Office with day-to-day activities. This is a full-time in office position with some telework opportunities as determined by supervisor and scheduling needs.

JOB TITLE: Analyst (Intermediate) - Executive Support

CLEARANCE: Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Management of Orbit HR system for DS Office to include review and maintaining data for contractor positions, updates, and inputting new processes.
  • Manage the MDA Huntsville Workforce Notification email messaging process.
  • Review incoming correspondence/staff packages which includes providing analytical and editorial support and ensuring adherence to all established correspondence guidance and policies.
  • Use Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) cloud-based application to manage incoming correspondence and Command Group staff packages.
  • Manage the DS Risk Management and Internal Control Program.
  • Plan, develop briefing charts and execute recurring DS meetings.
  • Work as a member of the DS Executive Support team to assist with solving routine problems.
  • Support programmatic processes to meet stakeholder requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and seven years relevant experience required. An AA/AS with nine years of relevant experience maybe substituted for the BA/BS.
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Possess exceptionally strong writing skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) B
  • Proficiency in data visualization applications (MS Power BI) is a plus.
