Job summary

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking aContracts and Purchasing Analyst (Analyst II) to support the Office of STIs and HCV. This role ensures compliance with grant and contract goals and serves as a key contact for Local Health Departments and partners.

You will assist with purchase orders, service orders, and a variety of administrative tasks under the Supervisor I in the Contracts and Purchasing Unit.

The Office of STIs and HCV (OSH) is part of the Division of HIV, HCV, and STIs, within the Center for Infectious Diseases, of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Job Description And Duties

NEW TO STATE CANDIDATES WILL BE HIRED INTO THE MINIMUM SALARY OF THE CLASSIFICATION. THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR HYBRID TELEWORK AND IS REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THE HEADQUARTERS’ OFFICE FOUR DAYS PER WEEK.

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by serving as a skilled professional with independent responsibility for carrying out a variety of complex assignments within the Office of STIs and HCV (OSH).

The Analyst II serves as point of contact for Local Health Departments (LHDs) and provides technical assistance to LHDs, municipalities, regional partners private organizations, volunteer groups, and state agencies to ensure compliance with grant and contract goals, objectives, and benchmarks. The Analyst II also supports administrative operations by assisting with purchase orders, service orders, and a variety of administrative drills.

The incumbent works under the direction of the Supervisor I, Chief of the Contracts and Purchasing Unit (CPU).
