Patton State Hospital, Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one (1) limited term, full-time appointment, to the Analyst II classification, Licensing Coordinator, in the Standards Compliance Department (SCD). This position reports directly to the Quality Improvement Manager. Positions filled as limited term may be extended up to 24 months and/or become permanent.
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for submitting unusual occurrences/adverse events to CDPH Licensing daily; coordinating and assisting CDPH-Licensing surveyors with surveys, on-site visits, opening new intakes, interviews, and provides documentation as requested; facilitating on-site surveys for CDPH APH/ICF, TJC Triennial Surveys, CDPH-Environmental Surveys, Coleman Masters Survey, Infection Control Surveys, and other surveys and/or audits under the responsibility of SCD; conducting CDPH and TJC Licensure Surveys preparation activities, assigning escorts, providing chart review, and conducting tours in secured treatment areas; applying and renewing CDPH-licensing flex requests for Title 22 waivers applicable to the hospital; and gathering information, tracking, and following up on Plan of Corrections (POCs).
The Licensing Coordinator is expected to maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personal Information (PI); maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; possess excellent oral and written communication skills; have excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work well under pressure; ability to work positively with all levels of level of management, supervisors, and staff; comply with hospital policies and procedures; and report to work on time.
KNOWLEDGE : Principles, practices, and trends of public and business administration, management, and supportive staff services such as budgeting, personnel, and management analysis; government functions and organization; and methods and techniques of effective conference leadership.
ABILITY TO: Reason logically and creatively and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve complex governmental and managerial problems; develop and evaluate alternatives; analyze data and present ideas and information effectively both orally and in writing; consult with and advise administrators or other interested parties on a wide variety of subject-matter areas; gain and maintain the confidence and cooperation of those contacted during the course of work; coordinate the work of others, act as a team or conference leader; and appear before legislative and other committees.
