Job summary

The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Outreach Analyst to support community relations initiatives in Sacramento. You will develop, coordinate and implement outreach workplans and collateral materials, and help manage outreach activities in the field.

Under supervision, you will assist with program activities at meetings and events, maintain logs and records, and collaborate with stakeholders to promote consumer protection in California's largest insurance market.

Job Description And Duties

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced remote centered environment with variety in your work? The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Analyst II with experience implementing outreach workplans, and developing collateral materials.

Under direction of the Supervisor II in the Community Relations and Outreach Branch (CROB), the Analyst II independently has responsibility to develop, coordinate and implement outreach workplans; develop collateral materials and process of outreach functions in the field; assist the Manager of Community Relations and Outreach, Department of Insurance (CDI) and stakeholders in consumer outreach work including the development and implementation of outreach documents; participate and lead program activities at meetings and events; perform various duties within the office in preparation for outreach assignments; and maintain logs and records of event activities performed.

Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025 and related Pay Differential 386. PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits.
