Job summary

Carmel Partners in New York seeks an Analyst, FP&A to support the Fund Management team with financial planning, analysis and reporting focused on fund performance, liquidity, valuations and investor deliverables.

You will work with data across the Firm to analyze actual and forecast fund returns, capital calls and distributions, financings, and covenants, requiring strong quantitative and communication skills to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced financial modeling and liquidity forecasting experience.
• Experience with fund accounting or private equity is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and enhancement of fund-level liquidity, valuation and performance models.
• Assist with quarterly asset valuations by compiling inputs from multiple departments and preparing review materials.
• Prepare quarterly investor reporting and supporting files with performance metrics and updates.
• Analyze projected asset- and fund-level investment returns quarterly and flag variances.
• Maintain tracking for fund-related schedules and supporting documents.

The Analyst supports the Fund Management team’s financial planning, analysis and reporting activities, with a focus on fund performance, liquidity, valuations and investor-related deliverables. The role works with financial and operating information from across the Firm to support analysis of actual and forecast fund returns, capital calls and distributions, financings, capital availability and financial covenants. Success in this role requires strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, attention to detail, sound judgment and the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.

What you’ll do

• Support the maintenance and enhancement of fund-level liquidity, valuation, return and other financial models, including fund liquidity projections and supporting schedules for active investment funds and co-investment vehicles.
• Assist with quarterly asset valuations by compiling and validating inputs from multiple departments, performing supporting analyses and preparing materials for review.
• Prepare quarterly investor reporting and supporting files, including asset-level performance metrics, project status updates and fund-level performance information.
• Calculate and analyze projected asset- and fund-level investment returns on a quarterly basis, identifying significant variances or items requiring follow-up.
