Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain collateral reference data.
  • Reconcile cash collateral positions and investigate breaks.
  • Interface with counterparties and fund administrators to maintain accounts.
  • Test and implement system enhancements and automate processes using AI/workflow tools.
  • Analyze data and assess operational risk; build controls.
  • Support regulatory reporting and onboarding of ISDA funds.

Description of Position

The firm is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join its New York Investment Operations team as an Analyst, supporting the firm's Credit and Real Estate strategies. This person will work within a small team responsible for daily collateral management and credit derivatives support within the wider Operations group. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, demonstrate initiative, and excel both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires commitment to identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements, with opportunities to contribute to larger strategic initiatives beyond daily responsibilities.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Manage daily margin movements for cleared/bilateral derivatives, repos, and prime brokerage accounts
  • Maintain the firm's collateral management system to ensure that it meets all control policies
  • Book cash movements to meet obligations and ensure excess exposure is returned to funds
  • Set up and maintain all collateral agreement reference data
  • Reconcile cash collateral positions daily and investigate breaks
  • Oversee offshore collateral team to ensure daily collateral processing deliverables are met
  • Interface with counterparty, prime broker, custodian, and fund admin contacts and maintain account relationships
  • Test and implement cash and collateral system enhancements
  • Automate manual processes using AI and workflow applications (e.g., Alteryx)
  • Analyze data and operational risk; build out controls to mitigate such risk
  • Review and validate regulatory reporting metrics (e.g., UMR) and onboard ISDA funds to Counterparty Manager
  • Support cleared/bilateral derivatives transaction processing
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Investment Operations experience
  • Knowledge of collateral management preferred but not required
  • Strong background in Excel (must know lookups, pivot tables, conditional logic, macros, etc.)
  • Intermediate-level experience in at least one of: Power BI, Alteryx, or Python
  • Experience with Geneva (GL), collateral management systems, VBA, or SQL is a plus
  • Project management experience preferred but not required
  • Must be a team collaborator, take ownership of work, and be an excellent communicator
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Must be motivated, adaptable, and proactive
Work Schedule

Conventional work schedule, with 4-5 days per week expected in the office. Candidates must be flexible to work additional hours as needed, especially during busy periods and when deadlines need to be met.
