The Role at a Glance

As a Sr. Analyst, Business Technical Support, you will be part of a dynamic team assisting in developing tools for underwriting and sales teams to price group insurance products such as LTD, STD, and Life. You will contribute to the successful implementation of underwriting pricing tools.

What you'll be doing
  1. Architect, develop, and implement high-quality, robust pricing tools for underwriters and sales teams.
  2. Develop and mentor actuarial students and/or pricing tool experts.
  3. Collaborate and lead discussions with management across Underwriting, Sales, Pricing, and IT.
  4. Create, educate, and maintain pricing tool standards and best practices.
  5. Document design, coding, implementation, and training processes.
  6. Design data structures, database functions, and development methodologies.
  7. Implement actuarial pricing formulas and strategies.
  8. Provide expertise on pricing methods and assumptions.
  9. Stay updated on developments in actuarial and technology fields.
What we're looking for

Must-Haves:

  • 5-7+ years of experience
  • 4-year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Nice-to-haves:

  • Skills in SQL & VBA, desire to advance these skills
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Experience with group insurance pricing/analytics
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle
  • Curiosity and quick learning capability
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and leadership qualities

The pay range is $93,300 - $169,700, with compensation based on experience, education, location, and qualifications. This role may be eligible for incentives and other rewards.
