Analyst/Associate, Networking and Cybersecurity Equity Research

Job Description:

The position is for an analyst/associate in the Networking and Cybersecurity Equity Research team. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of experience in sell-side Technology research. The candidate should have some familiarity with financial statements and a passion for following the stock market. The candidate will work alongside Senior Analysts and Associates in all aspects of the research process, including:

• Writing industry and company reports and initiating company stock coverage
• Building financial models (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) for stock valuation analysis
• Demonstrating industry knowledge
• Building relationships with contacts at covered companies
• Seeking out new and valuable information sources
• Monitoring news flow and analyzing data to highlight stock-impacting updates
• Developing surveys and conducting interviews on market dynamics and product/service demand
• Interacting with sales, trading, and external clients

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degrees or industry experience are a plus but not required)
• Minimum 2-4 years in equity research, buy-side, investment banking, or industry/consulting experience preferred
• Strong financial modeling and writing skills
• Enjoy following the stock market and conducting research
• Academic background relevant to specific fields (e.g., Healthcare, Technology, Consumer, Financials, Industrials)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
