Job summary

Yesway, Inc. is seeking an Acquisitions Analyst to develop financial models for prospective acquisitions and to manage due diligence with internal and external partners. You will prepare MEMOs, analyze market data, and support closing activities.

The role requires 3–5 years in acquisitions or related fields, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, analytics, mathematics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years in acquisitions, corporate development, investment analysis, private equity, investment banking, or related field; preferably in retail, convenience store, or CRE sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with data analytics platforms and financial modeling tools is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with self-motivated learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate due diligence processes with third-party advisors and internal stakeholders across departments.
• Support transaction execution, including documentation and closing activities.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct market research to identify high-potential geographic markets and acquisition targets.
• Use Placer AI to evaluate site performance and market dynamics.
• Analyze acquisition performance post-close to improve underwriting assumptions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support special projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyze financial models for prospective acquisitions, with a focus on operational feasibility and investment returns.
• Coordinate acquisition due diligence processes, including preparing due diligence materials, seller Q&A, managing third-party advisors and consultants, and working closely with internal stakeholders across departments.
• Support transaction execution, including documentation, coordination with advisors, and closing activities.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct market research to identify high-potential geographic markets and acquisition targets using demographic, traffic, and competitive data.
• Use Placer AI to evaluate potential site performance and market dynamics.
• Analyze acquisition performance post-close to continuously improve underwriting assumptions.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support special projects as needed.
