Are you passionate about helping young adults discover their potential and build a future they’re excited about? The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is seeking a Career Pathways & Transition Coordinator for our Camarillo Center to help Corpsmembers turn their public service experience into meaningful careers, internships, training, and higher education opportunities. This role is referred in the CCC as a Navigator. As a Navigator, you’ll work with young adults to explore their interests, identify their strengths, develop personalized career plans, and build the skills and confidence needed to take their next steps toward success.
You’ll combine one-on-one coaching with program development and community partnerships to connect Corpsmembers with opportunities that match their goals. From helping with resumes, job applications, and interview preparation to coordinating college tours, career fairs, employer visits, and training opportunities, you’ll help young adults see how their CCC experience can open doors to careers in the field of natural resources. You’ll also build relationships with employers, colleges, training providers, and community organizations while helping develop and evaluate programs that improve post-Corps outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in education, student advising, career counseling, workforce development, youth services, or program coordination who enjoys empowering young adults and helping them achieve their goals. If you’re organized, collaborative, and passionate about creating pathways to opportunity, we encourage you to apply. Some out-of-town and overnight travel is required.
Candidates must take and meet the eligibility requirements for the California state civil service Analyst 2 examination to be considered for this position.
