Job summary

RTX is seeking electrical engineers to join our Marlborough, MA team, focusing on analog electronics, power electronics, power systems and servo/motor control. The candidate should have strong foundational knowledge of analog circuit theory, analog microelectronics, power electronics, and control systems, with hands-on laboratory experience.

You will design, analyze, simulate, test and document power conversion and servo systems, and provide production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Coursework in analog electronics, power electronics/systems, or control systems.
• Modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools.
• ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
• Hardware development experience.
• Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power components.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers to develop designs based on requirements and RTX guidelines.
• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion, analog circuitry or servo/motor control systems.
• Provide support to production, integration, and test activities.
• Gain greater mastery of analog and power engineering design.

• Power Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies, Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls
• Power Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power Generation, Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC, Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection Circuits, Redundant Systems
• Power Sub-Subsystem Design - Filters, Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses
• Control Systems - Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial Stabilization, Navigation Algorithms

Qualifications

• You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

• Coursework of modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
• We Prefer ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
