Job summary

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering (CME) is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Analog) or Electrical Engineer II to design, develop, test, and support electronic hardware used in aerospace, defense, space, industrial, and energy applications in the Tampa Bay area.

This hands-on role offers ownership of circuit design, simulation, prototyping, bench testing, and collaboration with manufacturing and software teams across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 0–2 years for EE I; 2–5+ years for EE II
  • Foundational knowledge of analog circuit design (op amps, filters, power supplies, sensing)
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and simulation tools such as OrCAD, SPICE or LTspice
  • Hands-on experience with common electronics laboratory equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for power, sensing, signal conditioning, control, and mission-critical systems
  • Develop and evaluate circuits with components like op amps, filters, power supplies, converters, sensors, and control circuitry
  • Perform schematic capture and support PCB design and development
  • Use SPICE, LTspice, OrCAD or similar tools to simulate and refine designs
  • Build, prototype, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware in the lab
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and suppliers across the product lifecycle
  • Prepare engineering documentation and participate in design reviews
