Job description

Analog Design Engineer - Mixed Signal IC Design

We are seeking an experienced Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Designer to join our team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-speed analog design, particularly in complex blocks such as DACs, ADCs, and PLLs, and will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge analog front-end solutions for next-generation coherent optical DSPs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-speed analog/mixed-signal/RF silicon circuits for wideband TX/RX chains.
  • Own block execution end-to-end, including spec definition, architecture exploration, and circuit implementation.
  • Develop ultra-wideband building blocks to meet aggressive requirements for bandwidth, linearity, noise, and power.
  • Collaborate with layout/physical design to ensure high-speed, low-noise performance; conduct post-layout optimization and achieve signoff-quality results.
  • Integrate blocks into the full analog system and support tapeout/signoff readiness through reviews and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience, including high-speed blocks like DACs, ADCs, and PLLs.
  • Experience with advanced process nodes such as FinFET and/or GAA.
  • Familiarity with tapeout procedures and signoff processes, with exposure to multiple tapeouts preferred.
  • Proficiency in Cadence custom/analog design tools (Virtuoso/ADE) and Spectre.
  • Hands-on silicon IC design experience (on-chip RF/AMS); PCB/antenna-only RF backgrounds are not suitable.

Skills:

  • Direct experience in high-speed DAC and ADC interface design.
  • Success in designing ultra-wideband amplifiers/drivers in scaled nodes.
  • Verilog-A and/or MATLAB modeling experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, cross-site environment.
