Job summary

IC Enable is seeking an experienced Analog Circuit Designer to join our team in Richardson, Texas, with hybrid work eligibility and optional remote candidates. You will lead design of mixed-signal blocks, from data converters to RF transmission, and drive pre-tapeout verification.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in analog/mixed-signal design, advanced degrees preferred, and strong Cadence/Synopsys tool proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–10 years of experience in analog mixed-signal design.
  • Strong semiconductor industry experience.
  • Hands-on design experience in performance analog and low noise/low power amplifiers, ADC, DAC, LDO, bandgap, charge pump, RF wireless transmission.
  • Proficient with Cadence ADE-L/ADE-XL and running Monte-Carlo, noise, aging, EM and IR drop simulations and stability analysis. Synopsys Custom Compiler.
  • Strong experience with simulation tools such as Spectre, Hspice, PrimeSim.
  • MATLAB, SystemVerilog, Python preferable.
  • Capable of understanding DRC and LVS results with verification tools (Calibre, ICV, or PVS).
  • Able to work effectively in a team, with good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and positive energy
  • Possess strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Design of analog building blocks including PLL, low noise amplifiers, charge pumps, bandgap, serial interfaces, data converters, DC regulators, analog filters.
  • Run pre-tapeout verification flows to confirm design meets performance, power, reliability, and timing requirements
  • Work closely with mask design engineers to deliver the physical design as well as define production/bench-level test plans with post-silicon characterization groups for silicon evaluation to ensure interlocked and high-quality execution.
  • Work closely with digital team to ensure quality of final SoC, mixed-signal design delivery
  • Create and maintain documentation for the related project work and may improve the design flow
  • Lead/mentor junior engineers

We are looking for an experienced Analog Circuit Design who has > 7 years of experience with custom Mixed Signal Circuit Design, specifically in the design of neural sensing/ stimulation chips. Design experience includes data converters, low noise, low power amplifiers, power management, RF wireless data transmission, e.g. FSK, ASK, and CT filters.

The right candidate must have Solid knowledge of Cadence/Synopsys EDA tools and practices for analog circuit design and a quality - oriented mindset. We are looking for an individual with strong and effective communication skills that will positively impact our team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • MSEE/PhD with a minimum of 3-10 years' experience or BSEE with 5-10 years' experience. (MS or PhD preferred)
  • Strong experience in the semiconductor industry required
  • Hands-on design experience in performance analog and low noise/low power amplifiers, analog-to-digital (ADC), digital-to-analog (DAC) data converter, LDO, bandgap, charge pump, RF wireless transmission.
  • Proficient with Cadence custom circuit design tools like ADE-L and ADE-XL and running Monte-Carlo, noise, aging, EM and IR drop simulations and stability analysis. (Synopsys tool: Custom Compiler)
  • Strong experience with simulation tools such as Spectre, Hspice, PrimeSim.
