Job summary

Lake Compounce, a Palace Entertainment park in Bristol, CT, is hiring a Full-time Rides Maintenance Technician. The role focuses on modification, repair, and refurbishment of amusement ride equipment, performing preventive maintenance, testing rides, and diagnosing issues to ensure safe operation and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in maintenance or mechanics, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read manuals and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related maintenance experience preferred.
• 1–2 years maintenance or mechanics experience highly desired.
• Experience on roller coasters, amusement rides, or other attractions is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of attractions and property.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
• Respond to trouble calls with urgency.
• Maintain the property in a clean, safe manner.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per manufacturers’ specs.
• Repair electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Schedule maintenance and installation of machines and tools to ensure operations.
• Keep storage and mechanical areas clean, organized, and secure.
