Job summary

The City of Green Bay is seeking a skilled Mechanic for Bay Beach Amusement Park to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and rehabilitate classic rides to meet the highest safety standards. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and work independently or with a team to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of technical mechanics training, three years in mechanical maintenance, and a valid driver's license with CDL

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of technical training in mechanics.
• Three years' experience in a mechanical maintenance field.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record; CDL endorsement within six months of hire.
• Must provide own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on park equipment including rides, trucks, and lawn care tools.
• Performs welding, machining, and cutting as part of fabrication.
• Lubrication, tire changes, fluid checks, and belt/filter maintenance.
• Overhauls engines and major components; documents repairs and orders.
• Inspects and maintains amusement park rides daily during the season; some work at heights.
• Snow plowing as required; trains new employees.
