Job summary

S&S Worldwide, Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a small team of electrical and controls engineers in designing, developing, and implementing electrical and control systems for amusement rides and devices.

The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, project oversight, and continuous improvement to deliver safe, innovative ride systems on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical and controls system design with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing technical teams and complex engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, networking, instrumentation, and electrical power distribution.
• Experience developing electrical schematics, control panel designs, and technical documentation.
• Thorough understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers, controls engineers, designers, and drafters engaged in amusement ride design and development.
• Oversee workload planning, priorities, and schedule adherence to meet project timelines.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, regulations, and company practices.
• Develop standardized electrical architectures, design practices, and component selection to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Promote functional safety principles throughout the engineering process.
• Maintain UL508A panel shop compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop complete electrical systems documentation (specs, FAT/SAT procedures, I/O lists, schematics, cable routing).
• Provide on-site engineering leadership during manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning.
