Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Training Coordinator-AMSTI to provide on-site support to AMSTI teachers and math coaches. You will write and facilitate workshops, coordinate professional development, and develop instructional materials with on-site user support.

The role requires a strong background in education, data-driven lesson design, and workshop delivery. A valid driver’s license and AMSTI trainer certification are preferred, with a hybrid work arrangement and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Math or related field and 10 years of related experience required.
Experience developing data-driven lessons for teachers.
Expertise in presenting workshops and training.
Expertise in writing workshops by grade level.
Knowledge of the State Course of Study; valid driver’s license.
Certified AMSTI Trainer (preferred) and Master's degree in Education (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provides on-site support to AMSTI teachers and math coaches.
Writes and facilitates workshops that train teachers and coaches.
Provides monthly reports on support.
Coordinates professional development training for regional school districts.
Develops and coordinates instructional materials and provides on-site user support.
Maintains records and documents planning for trainings and events.
Assists recruiting new program participants.
Participates in staff meetings and professional development at site and state level.
