Job summary
S&S Activewear in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and optimize AMR systems and automation equipment. You will lead Assistant Automation Maintenance Technicians and Facilities Maintenance Technicians on assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
The role requires hands-on expertise with robotics, PLCs, and electrical systems, plus strong diagnostic and documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, PLCs, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, NEC principles, and safety practices.
- Experience in a fast-paced distribution/warehouse environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on AMR systems, conveyors, controls, and facility assets.
- Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues using diagnostic tools.
- Coordinate maintenance priorities and mentor junior technicians.
- Document maintenance activities and manage spare parts in CMMS.
