Ncus Tec in Columbus, OH is seeking a Career Coach for the AMP program to provide comprehensive case management, career readiness support, and employment placement services. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Workforce Development, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, workforce development, or career coaching.
  • Experience working with underserved populations and individuals with barriers to employment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of job readiness, career pathways, and employment placement strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data tracking systems (QuickBase, ARIES, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload, supporting participants from enrollment to job placement and retention
  • Conduct intake, assessments, and development of an Individual Opportunity Plan (IOP)
  • Maintain weekly participant engagement in person, virtually, and by phone
  • Identify barriers and connect to supportive services (transportation, childcare)
  • Track attendance and progress; intervene with disengaged participants
  • Deliver or support career readiness training (resume, interviews, workplace readiness)
  • Prepare participants for employment in manufacturing and related industries
  • Assist with job search activities including applications, mock interviews, and matching
  • Help participants earn credentials (OSHA-10, SACA, FANUC, NCCER, IC3)
  • Coordinate with employer partners to align participants with jobs
  • Schedule and prepare for interviews
  • Track outcomes (placements, wages, retention at 30/60/90/180 days)
  • Maintain communication with participants and employers post-placement
  • Enter data into QuickBase/ARIES within 24 hours
  • Ensure data accuracy across systems
  • Create weekly casenotes reflecting progress
  • Maintain participant files per program requirements
  • Assist with audits, monitoring, and reporting requests
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics: enrollment, retention, credentials, placement
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, and performance check-ins
  • Support recruitment, outreach events, and community engagement
  • Perform other duties to support program goals

Description

The Career Coach for the Achieve More & Prosper (AMP) is responsible for providing comprehensive case management, career readiness support, and employment placement services to program participants. This role ensures participants are actively engaged, progressing through training, earning industry-recognized credentials, and successfully transitioning into employment.

The Career Coach plays a critical role in driving performance outcomes tied to enrollment, retention, completion, credential attainment, and job placement while maintaining compliance with all program and funding requirements.

Participant Engagement & Case Management
  • Manage an assigned caseload of participants, providing consistent support from enrollment through job placement and retention
  • Conduct intake, assessments, and development of Individual Opportunity Plan (IOP)
  • Maintain weekly engagement with participants(in-person, virtual, and phone)
  • Identify barriers to employment and connect participants to supportive services (transportation, childcare, etc.)
  • Track attendance, participation, and progress; intervene with disengaged participants
Career Readiness & Coaching
  • Deliver or support career readiness training (resume building, interviewing, workplace readiness)
  • Prepare participants for employment in advanced manufacturing and related industries
  • Assist participants with job search activitiesincluding applications, mock interviews, and job matching
  • Ensure participants are prepared to earn andcomplete credentials (OSHA-10, SACA, FANUC, NCCER, IC3, etc.)
Employment Placement & Retention
  • Coordinate with Business Development and employer partners to align participants with job opportunities
  • Support interview scheduling and preparation
  • Track employment outcomes including placements, wages, and retention (30/60/90/180 days)
  • Maintain ongoing communication with both participants and employers post-placement
Data Entry & Compliance
  • Enter all participant data, services, casenotes, and outcomes into QuickBase, ARIES, and any required systems within 24 hours
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all data systems
  • Complete detailed, meaningful weekly casenotes reflecting participant progress and engagement
  • Maintain participant files and documentationin compliance with program and funder requirements
  • Assist with audits, monitoring, and reportingrequests
Program Performance & Accountability
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics related to:
    • Enrollment and retention
    • Credential attainment
    • Employment placement
    • Participant engagement
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and performance check-ins
  • Support recruitment efforts, outreach events,and community engagement activities
Requirements
