Job summary

Reddy Ice in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to join a lean-driven team. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, read prints and schematics, and contribute to Kaizen events to improve equipment reliability.

You’ll diagnose faults, service ice makers and refrigeration systems, manage spare parts, and uphold safety standards. Strong electrical/mechanical skills and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years in industrial maintenance.
• Certifications listed under education are required or preferred per role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform disciplined preventive maintenance on production and facility assets to prevent problems.
• Triage downtime by diagnosing faults from prints/schematics and returning equipment to service.
• Operate processing machinery when necessary to improve throughput and reduce delays.
• Manage spare parts ordering and inventory control to keep plant ready.
• Apply basic data analytics and root cause analysis to implement lasting countermeasures.
• Ensure safety checks are completed and follow safety controls.
