Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking an experienced Utilities Technician for the 3rd shift to maintain and operate plant utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and water supply. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include rounds, logs, safety adherence, and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications

• Five years utilities operations experience.
• HVAC experience with refrigerants specified (R-22, R-407C, R-507C, R-717).
• Experience in Ammonia Refrigeration systems operation/maintenance.
• Haz-Mat and forklift training; PSM awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per manufacturer specs and safety guidelines.
• Operate ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, and associated equipment using SOPs.
• Make rounds and log daily operations for multiple engine rooms and refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with facility equipment and tools.
• Maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment per SOPs.
• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
