Job summary

I8IS - Infiniti Software Solutions seeks an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration and utility systems within a high-volume food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining ammonia systems, troubleshooting pumps and compressors, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety procedures (PSM, GMP, SOP, LOTO) are followed. Certifications are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.
• GCAP or RETA Ammonia Certification – Required.
• EPA Type II Certification – Required.
• Food manufacturing/processing experience preferred.
• Experience with refrigeration troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of PSM, GMP, SOP, and LOTO.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ammonia system pump-downs.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, and equipment performance.
• Maintain boilers, condenser towers, hot water, compressed air, and utility systems.
• Complete PSM documentation, inspection records, and work orders.
• Follow PSM, GMP, SOP, and LOTO safety procedures.
