Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Utilities Technician to operate, maintain, and monitor the plant ammonia/refrigeration systems, HVAC, and related utilities at the Avon, NY facility. The ideal candidate is safety- and quality-oriented and can thrive in a team-focused, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring reliable plant operation, handling steam and condensate, and supporting the maintenance of cooling and heating systems.

Qualifications

• This job requires flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, and HVAC fields.
• Must be physically capable of wearing a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing, and other physical demands.
• CFC Certification - Type I & Type II: (Minimum) as defined by EPA.
• Steam/Refrigeration License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe, efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant ammonia/refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Oversee compressed air, process steam, steam plant heating, steam condensate, hot/cold water, and fire protection.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Under supervision of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager, support a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
