Job summary

Prestage Foods in North Carolina seeks a skilled industrial refrigeration technician to operate and maintain turkey processing plant ammonia systems. This role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, safety, and the ability to follow engineering specs and blueprints.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration, can read/write English, and is willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays in a hot, wet environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Able to work flexible start times and rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Installation and repair of industrial refrigeration equipment in accordance to blueprints and engineering specs.
• Provide preventive maintenance to the ammonia systems.
• Knowledge of Frick screw and reciprocating computer systems and ice making systems.
• Maintain logs and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and promote a safe work environment for self and coworkers.

To operate and maintain the industrial refrigeration system for a turkey processing plant. The technician position applies for individuals with mechanical aptitude and ambition to continue a career in the refrigeration field.

• Provide preventive maintenance to the ammonia systems.
• Knowledge of Frick screw and reciprocating computer systems and ice making systems.
• Maintain logs and paperwork
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and promote a safe work environment for self and coworkers.
