Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, with a focus on ammonia systems, while ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ammonia refrigeration experience, EPA 608, RETA Operator I, and CARO certifications, plus strong electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills and CMMS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.
• EPA 608 certification and RETA Operator I certification.
• CARO certification required.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with electrical, instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Proficient in CMMS documentation and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia systems.
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment, motors, wiring, and electrical/electronic components in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure and material handling equipment.
• Inspect and test refrigeration systems to ensure they are operating safely and according to design specifications.
• Complete work orders and accurately document all work performed in the CMMS.
• Monitor contractors to ensure safety compliance and regulations.

This role is ideal for a skilled refrigeration professional with strong technical expertise, troubleshooting abilities, and the confidence to work independently.The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience along with the required industry certifications and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and preventive maintenance.What You'll DoMaintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia systems.Maintain and repair electrical equipment, motors, wiring, and electrical/electronic components in accordance with applicable codes and standards.Perform maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure and material handling equipment.Inspect and test refrigeration systems to ensure they are operating safely and according to design specifications.Complete work orders and accurately document all work performed in the CMMS.Maintain inspection and preventive maintenance records and communicate equipment conditions and maintenance needs to leadership.Monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems to ensure compliance with company safety requirements and applicable regulations.Use facility equipment and motorized lifts as needed to perform maintenance activities.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Perform other maintenance and engineering duties as assigned.What We're Looking For5+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.Universal EPA 608 certification required.RETA Operator I certification or more.CARO certification required.Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.Strong computer skills, including the ability to document work in a CMMS.Ability to communicate technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.Strong commitment to safety and compliance.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to work in temperatures as low as -20°F in cold-storage environments and up to 100°F in dry-storage environments while wearing required PPE and freezer gear.Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., with requirements potentially varying by facility.Comfortable working around varying noise levels, including loud environments.Ability to work at heights where required and follow applicable Working at Height regulations.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and occasional weekends based on business needs.Why Join Us?This role offers the opportunity to put your ammonia refrigeration expertise and advanced maintenance skills to work in a critical facility environment while working alongside an experienced team.Pay Range:$29.13 - $49.13Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
