Job summary

Target Corp in Lake City, FL seeks an Ammonia Refrigeration Manager to lead the on-site ammonia technicians and ensure high equipment availability across refrigeration systems. You will guide maintenance, training, incident response, and vendor coordination to support fast, safe food distribution.

Responsibilities include onboarding, technical leadership, downtime troubleshooting, and driving continuous improvements while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years field experience operating, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning industrial ammonia systems.
• Strong knowledge of common industrial safety practices including arc flash.
• On-call outside normal business hours for incident support.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical prints.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop ammonia technicians; provide feedback to improve performance.
• Oversee onboarding and training for new hires.
• Maintain expertise across electrical, mechanical, and control systems in ammonia refrigeration.
• Coordinate with HQ and field partners during incidents and downtime.
• Manage maintenance contractors and third-party vendors; ensure SLAs.
• Promote safe work practices and PPE usage; implement safety plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and effective incident recovery.
