Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Texas City, TX seeks an Ammonia Supervisor to lead the operation of the 3,600 mTon/day Ammonia Plant and the 70,000 metric ton storage tank.

You will manage a team of 10-12 operators, ensure reliable production, safety compliance, and effective maintenance planning. Reporting to the Ammonia Superintendent, you will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with the West Gulf Coast Pipeline Team, and participate in budgeting and safety programs to support uptime

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication across operations, technical and commercial areas.
• Experience in safe operation of refrigerated storage tank operations; ammonia/LNG/cryogenic storage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise regularly scheduled activities and special projects; remedy difficulties.
• Manage day-to-day operations; supervise operators.
• Lead Root Cause Investigations to resolve unplanned issues.
• Ensure adherence to operating procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with preventative maintenance and safety programs.
• Oversee staff, equipment, and contractor coordination for operations.
• Ensure environmental and safety targets are met; support budgets and projects.
