Job summary

City Brewing Company seeks an Ammonia Technician in Memphis, TN to operate and maintain steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air compressors, and water treatment equipment. You will perform tests, logging data and supporting safe plant operation as a key member of the Powerhouse Team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Shelby County 1st class licenses, HAZWOPER certification, CMMS experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Shelby County 1st class steam and refrigeration operator licenses required.
• HAZWOPER certification required.
• Experience using CMMS to document work and access assignments.
• Understanding of steam and gas high‑pressure boilers.
• Understanding of refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Knowledge of water testing principles and related equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains gas-fired, high-pressure boilers.
• Operates ammonia refrigeration equipment including chillers and cooling towers.
• Operates and maintains air compressors and dryers.
• Manages water treatment systems and chemical dosing.
• Conducts testing and records data; ensures compliance.
• Maintains equipment and supports boiler room operations.
• Monitors safety and emergency systems; participates in HAZMAT/ERT.
