Job summary

EY Consulting is seeking an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Management Senior Manager to lead large-scale AMI transformations. You will shape opportunities, guide multi-workstream delivery across PMO, organizational change, field deployment and benefits realization, and build trusted relationships with senior utility leaders.

You will drive pursuits and delivery, standing up integrated PMOs, managing governance, and overseeing staffing and change control while coaching team leads

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
• Approximately 10 or more years of direct AMI program management experience, with hands-on accountability.
• Experience leading at least one large-scale North American AMI deployment across planning, mobilization, delivery and operationalization.
• Professional services or consulting experience delivering client engagements under formal commercial constructs.
• Approximately three or more years of consulting experience, including client service delivery and stakeholder management.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and client delivery.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead inclusive teams and drive high-quality delivery with commercial acumen.
• Experience leading multi-vendor program delivery with milestone-based fees and change control.
• Demonstrated business development contribution in AMI or similar utility programs.
• Extensive experience engaging senior utility stakeholders and operating in complex governance environments.
• Willingness to travel 65–80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead AMI program management pursuits, including client strategy, solution development and proposals.
• Build trusted relationships with senior utility stakeholders and represent the practice in governance forums.
• Guide AMI program delivery across planning, mobilization, and delivery.
• Stand up and operate integrated PMOs with governance and reporting.
• Manage large, multi-workstream teams and fixed-fee engagement economics.
• Develop AMI delivery methods and coaching across workstreams.
