City of Cedar Park is seeking an AMI Technician to join the Public Works and Utilities team. The role focuses on reading, recording, installing, repairing, and maintaining water meters and AMI components.

Expect to perform meter readings, connections, leak checks, and programming, with on-call rotation and possible evening hours. Requires high school diploma and a Texas driver’s license; safety and customer service are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Vigilance in safety and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record water meter readings into work orders.
• Perform water service connections/disconnections as directed.
• Conduct leak checks and meter maintenance as needed.
• Install/repair/replace meters, meter boxes, valves, and regulators.
• Program meters for AMI systems.
• Address issues that block electronic meter reading or meter function.
