Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) Engineer to support factory automation. You will own equipment installation through qualification and identify safety, efficiency and cost improvements while supporting system operations and data analysis.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal customers, vendors and contractors; QA/QC of incoming equipment; installation and validation of upgrades; documenting procedures; and providing 24x7 on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred mechanical).
• 0–3 years in automation engineering industry experience.
• AutoCAD certification or experience preferred.
• Strong project management experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal customers, vendors and contractors to complete assigned projects.
• QA/QC of incoming equipment prior to acceptance.
• Coordinate parts shipping, receiving, storage, and staging.
• Oversee installation and validation of hardware and software upgrades.
• Communicate technical information (8D) to leadership inside/outside the department.
• Assist with preventative maintenance by monitoring system performance.
• Create standard recovery procedures and troubleshooting docs.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for installation projects.
