Job summary

Thinkgood seeks an American Sign Language (ASL) Language Interpreter as an independent contractor. The role requires fluency in English and ASL, RID certification in process or equivalent, and readiness for Livescan and background checks.

Interpreters will handle medical, business, and education settings, with experience in both face-to-face and remote interpreting. Knowledge of CHIA professional conduct and HIPAA trainings is preferred, with simultaneous interpretation as a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Rates are negotiable*
• Be fluent in both English and ASL
• Be RID Certified, in process, or EIPA, NIC, NAD CI, CT or equivalent
• Be prepared to have Livescan and Background Checks conducted
• Be familiar with HIPPA and Cultural Sensitivity trainings
• Adhere to CHIA Professional Code of Conduct standards
• Be comfortable with the consecutive interpretation process (Simultaneous a plus)
• Strong passion for interpreting and customer service.
• Facilitate interpretation in a variety of subjects: in Medical, Business, and Education Settings
• Be experienced with both face to face and remote interpreting.
