Strycker's Bay Neighborhood Council in New York City seeks a full-time VISTA to support the SBNC VISTA Y4 Project Sustainability Coordinator initiative. The role focuses on establishing sustainable fundraising and resource development to empower families and students toward academic success.

The coordinator will craft fundraising plans, pursue grant opportunities, secure pro-bono services, and help the local team build capacity to advocate for themselves and their children in education.

Qualifications

Education level: High school diploma or GED.
Languages: English.
Age requirement: minimum 18.
Commitment: full-time service and active participation in SBNC programs.

Responsibilities

Help establish a sustainable fundraising framework to support educational initiatives.
Assist in developing a resource and fundraising plan and identifying grant opportunities.
Secure pro-bono services and solicit in-kind donations.
Build agency capacity by equipping the community team with skills, tools and resources to advocate for themselves.
