Job description

Working under the SCP Director, this role handles volunteer recruitment, training, and placement; coordinates with nonprofit partner agencies; assist with program compliance with AmeriCorps Seniors grant requirements. Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is$47,101 to $50,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years’ experience in community-based services and programming.

Preferred:

  • Experience in community outreach.
  • Experience in managing grant reports and budgets.
  • Interest in the issues and needs of older adults and their families.
  • Demonstrated skill in personnel and program management.
  • Skill in working collaboratively with other agencies and organizations.
  • Strong program solving skills.
  • Self-motived and self-directed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Word, developing and maintaining spreadsheets, and in creating flyers, and newsletters.
