Job summary

GO Tutor Corps, in partnership with AmeriCorps, seeks an in-person GO Fellow to support students in grades 3–12 by delivering targeted, small-group instruction in Math and ELA during the 2026-2027 academic year in Virginia.

This 1,200-hour service position runs Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm, with a focus on classroom collaboration, assessment of progress, and building positive relationships; fellows may lead enrichment activities and participate in the GO Teacher Residency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or current enrollment in accredited program.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. AmeriCorps requirement.
• Served no more than three AmeriCorps terms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 90 minutes of tutoring weekly.
• Assess student understanding and track progress.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Attend tutoring sessions and trainings.
• Support enrichment activities and school events.
