Job summary

Lead For America, through its American Connection Corps (ACC) in partnership with Requity Foundation, seeks a Communications Coordinator AmeriCorps Member to enhance the organization’s public presence. You will help craft newsletters, social content, and website updates while collecting stories that showcase community impact.

You will collaborate with staff to maintain consistent branding, produce multimedia content, and support student-focused storytelling.

Qualifications

• Must have U.S. citizenship, national, or lawful permanent resident status.
• High school diploma or GED required; 17+ years old by start of service.
• No prior AmeriCorps State/National terms completed.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Support staff with implementing Requity's social media strategy to increase visibility and engagement.
• Assist with creating and publishing content (photos, videos, graphics, student stories, impact highlights).
• Update website content with program information and announcements.
• Develop newsletters, press releases, and community outreach materials.
• Coordinate multimedia assets to strengthen storytelling and messaging.
