Job summary

Rystad Energy is seeking a Lead Analyst to guide a team in the Americas within the Oil market space. Located in Houston, the role focuses on fundamental regional analysis, data integration, and forecasting. Travel within North America is expected as needed to support regional market coverage.

You will collaborate with global fundamentals teams, develop monthly base-case forecasts, and mentor analysts to grow expertise in oil markets.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python, SQL and advanced Excel.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts to monitor short-term crude oil and oil product markets in the Americas and develop insights.
• Develop regional fundamental analysis including supply, demand, trade flows and inventories.
• Collaborate with global teams to develop cross-regional fundamentals views.
• Provide leadership in the Americas region on NGL/LPG market dynamics.
• Present research at conferences and engage with clients.
