Job summary

Rystad Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior Market Analyst to strengthen our Gas and LNG Market research presence. You will lead analysis of North America gas and LNG markets, build models, and provide data-driven insights and forecasts to our global client base.

The role requires at least five years in energy market research, strong Excel/Python skills, and the ability to synthesize diverse data sources.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of direct energy market research or related work in E&P, midstream or LNG companies.
Strong academic background in economics, engineering, finance or IT.
Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources (quantitative & qualitative).
Experience with large data sets; Python or similar programming language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis of North America gas and LNG markets, understanding regional/global supply, demand, pricing and flows.
Create models using primary research and proprietary data to forecast supply, demand and pricing trends at country, regional and global scales.
Track liquefaction and pipeline developments to inform forecasts of future supply and flows.
Create and deliver presentations and research notes; support gas and LNG consulting projects.
Contribute to global forecasting processes for international gas balances and prices.
Produce quantitative and qualitative research reports and market outlooks.
Participate in conferences and client meetings; assist with business development activities.
