Interpretek in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated American Sign Language (ASL) Staff Interpreter to provide interpretation services for Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a base pay range of $23-$35 per hour, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match up to 4%, and performance bonuses.

In collaboration with and under the leadership and management of the Director of Interpreting Services, the Staff Interpreter is responsible for providing ASL interpreting services for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring adherence to the Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf (RID) Professional Code of Conduct.
The Staff Interpreter must be adaptable, detail oriented, dependable and have the ability to manage confidential information appropriately. Strong interpersonal, and outstanding customer service skills are required. The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, external customers, and leadership are also required.
Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language-English Interpretation or related field is preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel. A minimum of 3-5 years of ASL interpreting is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of proficiency in computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite of products is required.
Certain coordinated finger, limb or body movement must be performed routinely in the course of regular work. Extended walking, standing, or sitting required. Constant repetitive motion and mental processing may be required which could lead to fatigue.
