Job summary

Hyde Park Surgery Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Surgical Tech Coordinator (Lead Tech) to scrub for procedures, maintain sterile fields, and prepare instruments with a focus on quality and efficiency. Weekday schedule only; no holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements.

The role supports the surgical team and participates in quality improvement activities while ensuring excellent patient care. Prior ambulatory center experience is preferred and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with completion of a Surgical Technician Program
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
• Excellent teamwork and communication to coordinate with staff and physicians

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and maintains a sterile field
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities
