Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance in Somerville seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Department of Surgery on a part-time schedule. The role supports ambulatory surgical care with day shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm, totaling 24 hours per week.

The RN will plan and provide patient care per Nursing Standards of Care, demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skill in caring for patients with complex needs, and participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
• Licensure: Current MA RN Licensure required
• Certifications: Maintains current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
• Work Experience: Two years current ambulatory nursing required
• Surgical Specialties experience preferred
• Linguistic Capabilities: Ability to speak a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide patient care for patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care.
• Demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs.
• Effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
