Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg Family Health Center seeks a Surgical Technologist to join its Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Twinsburg, OH. The role focuses on scrub tech duties in a state-of-the-art ASC, ensuring sterile technique and efficient procedure flow.

You will assist the surgical team, maintain asepsis, and participate in intraoperative timeouts while supporting outpatient clinic coordination and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Military surgical technology program may meet educational requirements.
• CST or TS-C certification required if not completed an accredited program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
• Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through NCCT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Set up the sterile table and ensure supplies, drugs and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges, instruments, etc. at appropriate times during surgery.
• Assist in gowning and gloving surgical team members and draping patients.
• Ensure aseptic condition is maintained by the scrubbed surgical team through the procedure.
• Participate in the intraoperative “timeout.”
• Collect, identify and label specimens removed during surgical procedures and give specimens to circulator for disposition.
• Ambulatory locations: coordinate surgical and clinical schedules, assist with outpatient clinic flow, and scribe for providers.

Education

Graduate of Surgical Technology Program (CAAHEP/ABHES)

Military surgical technology program may meet requirements

CST or TS-C certification required if not completed accredited program

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSA

Certified Tech in Surgery (TS-C) - NCCT

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - AHA/Red Cross
