Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services. You will assess patients preoperatively, educate families, and support the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• RN license active within the state of employment
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required; Surgical Services experience highly preferred
• Education: ADN, BSN, or RN Diploma as listed in the job requirements

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
• Assist with patient preparation including IV therapy and preoperative medications
• Participate in surgical site verification, time-out, and debriefing per hospital policy
• Monitor patient condition, document changes, and respond to emergencies
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with surgeons, clinicians, and staff in a dynamic interdisciplinary team
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to ensure safe care

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
